Volusia County Defendant Indicted on 7 Counts of Capital Sexual Battery

DELAND – The new Volusia County Grand Jury heard the case of Ralph Slone this week. The defendant is accused of committing multiple child sexual abuse crimes over three years.

The indictment was handed down on Monday morning. Slone was charged with seven counts of Sexual Battery on victim less than 12 years of age, Lewd/Lascivious Molestation on victim less than 12 years of age, eight counts of Promotion of Sexual Performance by a Child and eight counts of Possession of Sexual Performance by a Child.

The case was investigated by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Jeanne Stratis is the prosecutor assigned to the case.
