Deller Indicted in the Murder of Her Ex-Boyfriend

PALATKA – The Putnam County Grand Jury heard the case of Caylen Deller today. The defendant is accused of shooting and killing her ex-boyfriend in September 2024. The victim’s body was found buried in Hastings on Oct. 28, 2024.

The indictment was handed down on Monday afternoon. Deller was charged with First-Degree Murder with a Firearm, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Failure to Report a Death.

The case was investigated by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office arrested Deller. Assistant State Attorney Mark Johnson is the prosecutor assigned to the homicide case.
