Volusia County Defendant Convicted of Capital Sexual Battery
DAYTONA BEACH โ After a two-day trial, a Volusia County jury found defendant Cameron Sheffield Jr. guilty of Sexual Battery on person less than 12 years of age and Lewd/Lacivious Molestation on person less than 12 years of age. Immediately following the verdict, Sheffield was sentenced to mandatory life in prison for the convictions.
The Daytona Beach Police Department investigated the case. Assistant State Attorney Ashley Terwilleger successfully tried the case for the State of Florida. The Honorable Christian Miller heard the case and imposed sentence.
